Industry Dive released a 2021 Human Resources Survey report as part of campaign to release data collected on the HR sector. The full report can be found here. I worked as the main illustrator and junior art director on this project. My role was to create a fresh and new illustration style to use throughout the report to support the layout design of fellow designer Danielle Ternes.
This project started with collecting a series of existing illustrations to use as inspiration for this project. I extracted some key shapes and illustration language from these images and began by doing a series of style explorations using just shapes. With this exploration I was able to create a shape motif that would be prevalent throughout the entire survey report. Some of the illustrations can be found here:
